Well after driving away from Seattle down to Redwood National Park, I was thinking a lot about me continuing for 3 more weeks on my own. I have no problem doing it, but I felt the whole point was to experience the trip with Big E and going it alone seemed a little selfish. What became clear was a different opportunity to make the best of the situation. I decided to drive straight back to Indiana to surprise my daughter Tatum who has a lot of summer basketball games scheduled starting today near Evansville. In order to make the games I had to make the 30+ hour drive over 2 days. I’m happy to report I made it safely to surprise her as she wasn’t aware I was doing this. As a gift her team won all 3 games today!

National Parks / monuments visited – 7 (Rushmore/Devils Tower/Yellowstone/Grand Tetons/Craters of the moon/Glacier/Redwood.
